Minka's Newborn Shoot + Christmas 2018 Family Shoot

If you're not over the baby spam, well here's more to feed your need! Minka's newborn shoot was done at day of life number five. Her shoot was not the easiest as she would not fall into a deep sleep for at least the first two hours. None of my girls have ever taken a pacifier and Minka is no different. We tried it and she was just not into it. She has been an awesome sleeper from day one but not for our shoot. She already looks so different now!! Ahh my baby <3

Valentine's Day Decor

My husband and I don't always agree on design styles but lucky for him, he listens to his wife!! I lovingly call him the design grinch because he is not a fan of me decorating certain parts of the house for the holidays. These places include the mantel and our open shelves in the kitchen, prime spots to show case my love of holidays. He says I'm "putting a bumper sticker on a Bentley". Well whatever, I think it's fun and festive and Noelle likes it as well. Target makes it easy for me to decorate these spaces super cute and for not a lot of money. Everyone knows and loves the dollar section right as you enter the store. It's a complete trap and I fall for it every time. 

Family Christmas Photos 2016

 It's hard to believe that this time last year we were planning to expand our family and here we are as a family of four! I am so grateful to have these images of such a magical time for us. This Christmas season has been so much fun with Noelle and I am so excited for Christmas morning. We've had lots of conversations about what Christmas really means and read books about who we are celebrating. But of course that doesn't mean Santa Claus isn't on the brain. Noelle is asking for pretty much everything she see's and because it's Christmas time we thought we'd be able to use Santa as a scapegoat, not so much! 

Noelle: "I want that!" (points to TV)

Tj: "Maybe you can ask Santa to bring it to you for Christmas?"

Noelle: "No, we just need to go to the store and buy it."

Well there's that......

Christmas Decor

We've been having such a great time in Orlando for the Thanksgiving holiday but I cannot wait to get home and start decorating for Christmas. I think our first stop off the tarmac will be the Christmas tree farm. Decorating our new home for Christmas is what my dreams are made of.

Father's Day

Father's Day was great, with Noelle making out like bandit! We went to church that morning and Noelle made the cutest Father's Day craft for her Dad. After church we went to Tj's favorite restaurant in Denver, Ted's. It is all things Bison and I (again) got the best salad EVER! Tj took a nap after we got home. 

Now I'll tell you about Noelle's Father's Day. Immediately following church, before lunch, we stopped by Toys R Us to reload Noelle on toys. After stopping home to put them all together we went to Elitch Gardens (an amusement park) in downtown Denver and Nelly rode all the kiddie rides until her hearts desire.

Noelle has a very deceiving "I'm having the time of my life" face. Because you may think that she just thinks something is "cool" or "no big deal", but as soon as it's time to get off, she's gonna flip out! We were able to keep her calm after a few rides, when she knew she'd be getting on another one. 

Did I mention Noelle is walking? Eeekkkk!

Mother's Day

This week has been pretty nuts and next week will be also but I wanted to drop in and let you all know how my Mother's Day went! The weekend started off great, with me coming home to flowers Friday after work. On Saturday it rained just about the ENTIRE day until it snowed later that night. Yes, it snowed, super annoying but we made the best of it by heading to a professional lacrosse game. It was surprisingly really exciting, though Noelle didn't think so, taking a nap in the middle of the action. She is always so calm in these crazy settings with fire works and loud noises. She never cries and just looks around amazed by all the ruckus. We went to church on Sunday and then went out for a great lunch.

My Mother's Day gift was to be collected this past Wednesday, at the Jessie J concert. This would be our second time seeing her. We saw her a couple years ago in LA at the Roxy when we lived in Orange, County. 

She was just as amazing as the last time. The pipes on this girl are stupid, she is so talented and I love seeing people in concert and they sound just like the record or even better. She never disappoints!
