Gender Reveal #2

Two and a half weeks!!! That's how long we had to wait after our anatomy appointment to find out what we were having. We knew we had a trip home coming up and couldn't think of a better way to find out the gender then doing it with our friends and family. I struggled with the idea of doing another one but after talking to my friend Joanne who was doing her second one, she convinced me to go for it again and I am over the moon happy that we went through with it.

It was wrenching my brain, I was having dreams almost nightly about the gender. And to make it so bad, I had the ultrasound in my possession the whole time. Knowing exactly where I placed it. We didn't give the results to a friend this time, instead we had our doctor's office contact the gender reveal company directly. Our theme was 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' and because of my hectic weekend in Orlando, I only had the day of to prepare.

Denver Metro Moms Post {Before 8am}

So I've told you guys that I am all about transparency, well here it is. I had the pleasure of having a perfectly nice stranger in my home to take pictures of me and my family before 8am. The morning of and even after she left I thought, what the hell did I just do? I was so worried about possibly being judged by other moms. Which is sooo not like me considering I write my own blog and usually could give a red cent about what someone thinks of me. But I am so happy that we participated. Karen made us feel very comfortable as she snapped away. My post is now live on Denver Metro Moms and I also added some extra pictures below just for you guys!! Though lots of things have changed since we did the shoot (a new apartment, announcement of a pregnancy, an office for TJ and new couch, praise HIM) we are still praising God in our "in between" time. Read about how this experience taught me something about myself.

Mother's Day 2016

My Mother's Day consisted of praising God, good food and a date night with the hubs! Don't know how much more I could have asked for. I really wanted hibachi so after church we went to Benihana. I gotta tell you, my Mother's day could have been much better if they didn't decide to switch their signature white sauce to a mustard sauce. What were they thinking? How could they?

Despite this horrible business call, the food was great and it was so much fun watching Noelle experience her first hibachi style meal.

 She wasn't sure at first.
But then the tricks started and she was blown away!!

After I was as full as a tick, I decided to take advantage of Noelle's nap time and lay down with her. Who am I kidding? These days I'm taking advantage of every nap time and laying down myself. Our sweet baby sitter brought me flowers and Tj and I headed out.

The play was downtown and though we've moved, we still live downtown but it was not an option for me to walk all that way in heels. So I paired my H&M maxi dress with a leather jacket and some black Doc Martens. For my makeup I went dark on the eyes and lips!
The one thing I could have done without is this huge outie of mine. UGH!!!
The play was hilarious, I really enjoyed it and my shirley temple.

Hope you all had a great one as well!!!!

Baby Hazley #2

Here we go again!! I am so happy to be carrying another blessing but I am finding that things are very different this time around, not with the pregnancy (which seems very much the same thus far) but the effort in which I put forth. Don't get me wrong, I am so freaking excited to have another bundle of joy in our arms and giving Noelle a sibling makes me so elated I could cry. I mean it was planned, but the pregnancy is just ya know, I'm pregnant. I guess because it is no longer a novelty I don't have the same kind of feeling, like when you get a new puppy. You're all excited at first until it poops on your couch for the first time. Feeling the baby move still amazes me and I am so excited to find out what we're having. I'm just not sending Tj weekly updates about what is happening in this week of pregnancy. I'm not reading every article I can find on pregnancy, Tj and I haven't discussed ONE name!! Moms of more than one feel me right? For instance the way I documented my bump last time was like this….

This time, ain't nobody got time to do hair and makeup every week just for a photo, though my eyebrow routine is much better this time around. I just don't have the energy to do that. So, it's gonna be this!

These super cute bump stickers are by Lucy Darling.

Just for fun I thought I'd give you guys a list of things I WON'T be doing this time around.

1) Posting on social media every time the baby moves.
Not that I did this before but acting like I am the only person who knows what it's like to be pregnant won't happen.

2) My breast milk achievements.
I don't think I did this the last time either, maybe I should label this "things that annoy me". I was so incredibly blessed to breastfeed and pump for Noelle for as long as I wanted to but I think boasting about breastfeeding can sometimes be very insensitive to other mothers who didn't have the same experience, plus no one really cares.

3) Hold my belly in EVERY photo.
I am totally guilty of this and this time around, I think people can see a bump and I don't have to hold it.

4) Talk about my pregnancy ALL THE TIME.
The first time around I was really excited and I talked about how I was feeling, in detail, to anyone who would listen. Now I'd say if I do say anything, it's more like complaints about how hungry I am!

We are now half way there!!!!! I can't believe we're already here. I definitely plan on doing more frequent updates to keep you guys posted on Baby Hazley #2 and I'll throw in some nail designs along the way! We're doing another gender reveal in just about 2 weeks! We have no idea and I can't wait to see all our friends and families reactions back home as we find out pink or blue.

Thailand- Phuket

Our last stop! I realized only after going through my Phuket pictures that I didn't take as many pictures of this amazing place as I should have! But when Songkran is happening, it limits what you take out of your hotel door. But we'll get to that! Our hotel was incredibly beautiful and my favorite by far. As soon as we put our bags down we headed for the city center. After walking down Bangla road we stopped for food (not the bugs pictured) and of course more shopping and massages.
