About Face

I LOVE makeup! It has always been such fun for me. I keep it simple most days with just eyebrows and mascara but I always get so excited for the opportunity to play around. I recently got some great products that I am really excited about using. I am far from a beauty guru but I love trying new things, especially when they are recommended by my friend's who are also lovers of makeup.

First up eyebrows. UGH, if you know me, you know my eyebrows have always been a huge source of frustration for me. I have so much to fill in. And don't worry, I revealed my bare brows to Tj very early in our dating life so he knew what he was getting into, just in case he was a brow man. Thankfully he wasn't and our baby turned out to have PERFECT brows.

Look at those arches!

I've received some praise over my new found brow routine so I will share the products I use.

My friend Joanne recently put me on game to makeup artist Desi Perkins. She's on instagram (@desimakeup) and has a YouTube channel. She, like me has very little brow hair (thanks Mom). She posted a video of her brow tutorial and it has changed my life.

Catching Up

I'm a little behind on posts so I figured I'd take this time to catch you up on our recent happenings. On Labor Day we visited The Cabrillo National Monument and Point Loma Tide Pools.

 Huge waves

 Got em'

That following weekend Tj left for his friend's joint bachelor party and sent Noelle and I to her first concert. Mickey's Music Fest.

I was all about the Aladdin segment

By the way…I found these amazing dumplings at Trader Joe's

Between the Gyoza and my Creme Brûlée kit from my friend Joanne it was a yummy weekend

A Trip Home

Well hello strangers!! Sorry it's been awhile. Lots has been going on with the Hazley's the last couple weeks. I worked 3 days in a row last week, then we jumped on a plane Wednesday night after I got off and made our way to Orlando for a very short trip to attend the wedding of our friends. It was a crazy week and weekend but I am so grateful for the opportunity to have gone home. It was SO much fun. Hanging with my family, staying in my old room (weird), seeing my nephews, meeting new babies, and laughing to the point of tears with friends!! Ugh, I can't describe how great this trip was so I'll just get to the pics.

I Am Not My Hair…

….But my current situation in no way reflects who I am! Lol!

Ladies, you know, once you find a great hairstylist it is so hard to trust anyone else with your hair, even yourself. One of the hardest parts about being away from home is missing family and friends. Well missing your friend and amazing hairstylist is right up there with them.

I can't wait to visit home so Liz Bailey can do her magic. Thought I'd post a fun blog about some of the different hairstyles I've worn over the 4 years since Liz has been doing my hair.

Isn't she beautiful?

The first time Liz ever did my hair was on my wedding day! Some people thought I was crazy to try someone new on such a special day. She was introduced to me through Tj because she cut his hair. Yes, she's also a very talented barber.

After my wedding, I wanted a big chop! I am in love with short hair and she did NOT disappoint
Then there was the time she gave me a fohawk

Did I mention she is a color specialist?

One of my favorite's…black with peek-a-boo purple

So everyone who knows me knows I am not a huge fan of weave but we were about to go to Europe on vacation and I figured why not do something totally out of character. She makes hair fun for me!

Oh boy, Tj wasn't too happy about this one!

But it was SOoOo funky and I LOVED it

I was so excited about this high bun she created

Then I loved this braid
After Noelle was born I wanted another hairstyle that was completely different for me
Not your average "Mom-do"

Then she cut it shorter to switch it up

We've been in a long distance relationship before when we traveled the last time. It was hard but we got through it, just like we will this time.

Mean while…the struggle is real (insert ugly cry face emoji)

I refer her to everyone I know.

She did my friend Maddy's hair for her wedding.
My friend Joanne for her wedding

Liz went from being my hairstylist to my friend who also happens to do my hair. I love her spunk, honesty and realness. She is as real as they come and she is so positive and encouraging. Her faith in God is inspiring and she is also an amazing mother. And she loves to laugh!

 Bumping bumps
Ezra and Noelle :)

Family affair at Dave and Buster's

We love Ezra and can't wait to get home and catch up

So the question is, what's next? Here's a little of my inspiration from @thecutlife on Instagram

LOVE!!!
Kelly Osbourne's hair is everything!
I want so much to cut my hair but I told myself (really my husband) I was going to try and grow it out….for now!

Liz, Owner of Secret Hair Lounge and her great stylist Jonathan can be found on Instragram @secrethair
