Elle's 7 Month Update

Nelly is getting more fun with every month that passes. She has done so much this past month. She is in size 2 diapers and in her 3 month and some of her 3-6 month clothes.

Our experiences with The Baby Led Weaning Method has been great! Noelle has tried several different foods and is not turned off by textures. The poop is also very interesting.

She is a big Mama's girl right now. She cries when I come home from a long day at work and immediately wants to nurse. If I walk away and she thinks I'm leaving, she'll cry. It came out of nowhere but I'm going to enjoy it while it last because I know she's going to be a total Daddy's girl.

Elle is not your average babbler. She makes a very distinct sound that I can't quite describe. The week my parents came to town, she kicked her noise making into high gear and hasn't stopped since. We love hearing it!

 And Noelle's Pick….her Mama

We had a rough go at our photoshoot this month. I have to get faster with my trigger finger because I know it is just the beginning. She would not stop sliding down in her chair! And she thought it was hilarious when sat her back up!

San Diego Meets the Parents

What a blessing it was to have my parents come to town AND for me to have off all but one day they were here. Tj and Noelle picked them up from the airport and hung out with them until I got off.

They biked down the Bay and viewed some historical ships.

On Thursday morning my Daddio and I got up to get some coffee and donuts.

My Dad's FIRST Starbucks coffee! He later had a "crappuccino" (we'll be laughing about that one for awhile) which he loved!
Granddad teaching Noelle to crawl!
I took my parents to Cafe Coyote for lunch while Tj stayed home with Noelle and finished up work.

 Confused by the selfie!

Once Tj got off we headed to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park!

Next up…Wine Tasting

I fell in LOVE with this wall of succulents!!! I want one!!
My Dad, who is a very adventurous eater wanted to stop on the way back from the Safari to get these interesting jerky's. I was convinced I wouldn't try it, but I did. It wasn't bad at all. I know my friend Rebba would have been so down.

On Friday we planned to go whale watching but we found out after we showed up that children under two weren't allowed on the boat. So plan B.

We were not quite dressed for the occasion but we decided to bike the boardwalk at Mission Beach

We had a late lunch in Little Italy before heading home

Saturday we went to La Jolla Cove. The plan was for me to get in this time but the tide was so high and the water was not as calm as it was the last time. My Dad was game!! My mom and I had a great time laughing at the two of them fighting the sea weed.

 #Tired
Lunch at In-N-Out, they loved it as much as we do!

Nelly was introduced to Apricot by Grandma and Grandpa.

While Tj and I hit the streets for a date night!
 The food was SOOOO good!

We had so much fun dancing the night away, great night!
OMG I need a relaxer x-(

Saturday was my parents last day so we shot up to LA for some site seeing and of course….Roscoe's
We saw Flo-Rida and they knew of him only from WWE! LOL! Apparently he does a lot of performances for the wrestling matches, and they know all about it!

The house of the Clampett's made their DAY!

And look a here…the day after the Shug Knight shooting, we drive past the crime scene
I felt like TMZ

I can't describe how much fun we had. I talked to my Mom later who described it as "the kind of fun that only happens after you're grown". I am so grateful to God for assigning these two to me. My Dad who is the hardest worker I know was able to completely disconnect from his business and truly enjoy himself. They both soaked up as much of Nelly as possible and experienced her new non-stop "talking".  Their first trip to California was a success and I thank God he was able to bless us so we could bless them. Besides it was the least we could do after moving their Granddaughter across the country!
