Last Days In San Diego

Our time in San Diego has gone by so fast! It's hard to believe we spent 5 months here. As I reflect on our time here I have such great memories of how much our Nelly has grown.
We were so blessed to experience so many different things. We got to get in a few more sites before we left.

December Nights at Balboa Park

First things first...

Lobster bisque and lobster roll!!! SO GOOD!

Exploring the cities Christmas lights….

….and cool food spots

Our last free day off together was spent packing but we were able to make it out to Sunset Cliffs one last time and to C Level for dinner!

Tj and Noelle made good of their free time while I was at work, attending another Chargers game

San Diego had amazing weather, great views and tasty food. It has been a dreamed realized when God allowed my family to go out on the road. God has been tremendously good to us and I couldn't think of a more fulfilling way to experience life then traveling the country with them. I have also come to some realizations.
1) I would love to live in a city with actual seasons
2) Cultural diversity is a MUST for so many reasons; i.e. radio stations, soul food joints, etc.
3) Going out of your way to be kind to someone is not a requirement but when someone does it for you, you understand the need for those people. I've always considered myself a friendly person but the next time I am ever in a situation where I can go beyond "nice" or "helpful", I will. Coming from an environment where you know everyone, you get comfortable knowing you'll have several positive interactions with people you like and who like you. I think I forgot about how hard this part was going to be from the last time I traveled. By the time you get to know people it's time to move on. But I'd like to take this time to thank Heather Garcia for being that person to me!!

Thank you San Diego!!!

Elle's 10 Month Update

Noelle has so much personality!! It is so much fun to watch her grow into herself. She is so serious at times but can be the smiliest baby you'll ever met in the right circumstances/environment. She doesn't do too much smiling at strangers. She is impatient when it comes to waiting for food. She loves giving kisses to her Daddy and will win any staring contest she enters. She continues to HATE putting on sleeves. She really enjoys bath time and if given the opportunity will drink her own bath water. Eww! Lol! This month she has definitely turned into explorer Nelly. She realized all the things she could reach and get into if she stands up and pulls on every handle she sees. She picks up the smallest microfibers on the floor and tries to sneak them in her mouth before we catch her.

Just a couple of favorites this month. It's been a busy one for us!

10 months

It was so hard to choose a photo this time around

Keeping Up With The Jones'- Jamaica

Our friends Drik and Madison got married!!!!! Ekkkk! We love these people and we were so excited to celebrate with them in Jamaica!! The week before Thanksgiving was such a crazy travel week for us. I told you that Tj and Noelle went to Orlando while I stayed back in SD. Well I rejoined them in Orlando for two days before we headed to Jamaica for the nuptials.

We squeezed in as many visits as possible.
We had a play date with Joanne and CARISE!! We love them :))))

Me, Myself and I

A couple weeks ago I was left by my lonesome while Tj and Noelle headed to Orlando. I stayed behind to work my required shifts before heading to Orlando to meet up with them. Leading up to it I was being a huge wuss. I was dreading the three and a half days and four nights I was going to be apart from them. I had never been left by the both of them at the same time. It was a really weird feeling knowing I'd be left by myself and in a place that's not home. It's all I could talk about. "I'm gonna miss you both so much", "what am I gonna do without you guys?".

So then I got a grip. At one time I relished in the time I had all to myself and I realized all the things I could do and enjoy. I would be working 12 hour shifts Sunday through Tuesday before getting on a plane Tuesday night. So Saturday was really all I had to do it big. That morning I kissed them both as I dropped them off at the airport and then I got it cracking.

Tj is not a fan of Chipotle so you can guess my first stop….

I got home and watched The Internship while I enjoyed every bite! And THEN….I took a nap!!! An uninterrupted nap at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. It was so good!

Next stop…
Selfie's in the car…lol, no shopping!! I blasted inappropriate lyrics and sang them at the top of my lungs on the way to the mall.

It was so nice to shop and browse. BROWSE….I mean really browse, like go around the store five times browse.

That night I met up with my coworker Hannah for dinner.

I am not a fan of working three 12 hour shifts in a row. Actually, I despise it. I only do it when it is absolutely necessary but in this situation it was great because although I enjoyed my Saturday if I had too many days off while my family was away I would have been a wreck. So for the next three days I only had time to eat, shower, sleep and repeat.

I did however get time to pickup food from my FAVORITE restaurant which Tj refuses to visit while we are in San Diego. He says he doesn't want to eat anything he can eat in Orlando.
You already know…Olive Garden! Ugh I'm obsessed with the original tour of Italy.

Thank God the days went by quickly I was so ready to be back with my loves because Face timing Nelly was great but not enough, I missed my boo's.

Tj's Birthday Weekend

Sunset cliffs has been on our list of places to visit in San Diego for awhile now and we finally made it!! It was as breathtaking as it had been described.

 Noelle with the mean mug

 Birthday Boy!

His birthday fell on a Sunday so of course he made sure that if we were going to be out, he would have his football. GeeZ!!! Does anyone else have this issue with their husband?
God San Diego's weather is perfect! Not one cloud in the sky
Birthday kisses
